LEARNING TO DO RESEARCH THAT COUNTS

Welcome to RAP!

Welcome to the Research Active Programme (RAP).

RAP is a module where people with disabilities, service providers and health professionals can learn to do research together.  RAP is usually delivered as a 12-week module or as a more intensive 3-week programme.

Students learn about doing research. Here are some of the topics covered:friends

  • Research? What is it? Why do it?
  • Making research work for you
  • Your rights in research
  • Being a co-researcher: Talking to people
  • Being a co-researcher: Surveys

On this website you will find information about RAP as well as resources that can be used to learn more about or to deliver the RAP curriculum. Lesson plans and supporting materials are available to download in the Resources section.

We hope you enjoy exploring RAP!
